My Map: What the Heck is a Chakra?

Updated: Aug 13, 2021

If you are looking for a structured definition, go back to Google Search.

After my retreat in Cape Cod, I asked one of my early teachers what she thought was out of balance. To which she responded without hesitation, your Root Chakra. If your reading starts here, you may want to revisit my first post titled How Everything Started: The Magic of a New Book and a Broken Heart.

Root Chakra???? I had no idea what she was talking about, but it helped kickstart my search. In simple terms, Chakras are energetic points or places in your body constantly rotating. For healing purposes, I recognize 7 primary chakras. There are more along your body and beyond. Each one is represented by a different color and addresses a particular area and/or life lesson. We increase their vibration with energy cleansing, affirmations, or addressing the root cause of what is throwing you off balance.

Learning the meaning of each chakra helped me built a map in my mind. I was able to understand medical conditions diagnosed in the past. It translated my physical to my emotional (I know, you are probably thinking "She makes no sense. Lol"). I have been debating whether or not to share my experiences with each. In my eyes, healing has been accompanied by physical pain releasing Fear and low vibrations. I will go easy by telling my experience with the Root. Will see where that takes me.

Every time someone asks me how my journey started I base it on my Chakras for Dummies. At the time, I was hungry for information. I did not know where to start, but Chakras have the magic of helping you map what requires change in your life. My basic knowledge was enriched through workshops, more reading and always asking my higher self for clarity. When you start listening to your inner voice, it can only get louder and louder. We always know it is there; we might just be afraid to tap into it. I make the decision to listen everyday. Every single day counts as practice.

If this reading was helpful, use the Chakras as a magical rainbow. Have fun with it and learn more about yourself. Time spent on yourself will never be wasted.

See you next time!
